What is a Zip file?

ZIP is a popular archive format widely used on the Internet. The MP3 Downloads are contained in a Zip file. After you have downloaded the file, you need to unpack its contents in order to play the audio content.

Windows users can use the built-in zip functionality or free expander software such as PeaZip or 7-Zip. Mac computers include zip functionality, but it will NOT work properly with our zip files. Mac OSX users should use free expander software such as The Unarchiver to unzip the files. Linux users can use free expander software such as PeaZip or 7-Zip.

How to unzip with the built-in functionality in Windows: (3 options)

- Right click on the zip file and choose "Extract..." or Open With--> Compressed (zipped) Folders...

- Double-click the compressed folder to open it. The Extract all files command appears in the Folder Tasks list or in the top menu. Click Extract all files to start the Extraction Wizard, and then click Next to start the extraction process. When you are prompted to select a location to put the extracted files, select a location, and then click Next. By default, Show extracted files is selected. Click Finish to view the extracted files.

- Double-click the compressed zip folder to open it. Then, drag the files from the compressed folder to a new location.
